Plein Air Painting: Paint at the Rose Garden (ALL AGES WELCOME!)
Spend a full day immersed in the practice of plein air painting at Portland’s Rose Garden. This outdoor class is ideal for artists looking to sharpen their skills in observing light, color, and atmosphere directly from life.

Saturday, July 19th — 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
We’ll cover:
Strategies for painting under shifting light conditions
Compositional planning and color mixing on location
Starting multiple studies to capture light changes throughout the day
What to Bring:
Oil paints, brushes, several small canvases or panels, a travel easel, folding seat, sun hat, water bottle, and a camera or phone for reference photos to complete work at home.
